He is also admitted to practice before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Southern District of New York, Middle District of Florida, and Southern District of Florida.
Jacob Brainard is part of the firm’s litigation team, defending Internet and mobile marketing companies in actions involving the TCPA, the CAN-SPAM Act, consumer class actions, state and federal regulatory actions, and general commercial litigation issues. He also assists companies in handling state and federal agency investigations. Prior to joining the firm, Jake worked for firms in New York and Florida practicing commercial and real estate litigation. He represented companies in FDCPA defense, consumer class action defense, contract litigation, and real estate litigation matters. He has extensive experience before state and federal trial courts with all phases of litigation.
Jake is an experienced appellate advocate. As an associate at a firm in Tampa, Jake created the firm’s appellate section and led it for six years. Throughout his practice, he has been lead counsel for over 50 appeals in multiple state and federal courts.
